Museum Hop offers curated museum adventures for children, adults, and families that spark curiosity, illuminate perspectives, and cultivate connections. Programs are customized to fit participant’s personal interests and include opportunities for group discovery, quiet reflection, and creative collaboration.Ashley Weinard, program director, is an educator and museum professional who has worked in museums across the country. She designs lively learning experiences that allow you to leap across time and place through close investigation of museum treasures—revealing new insights, shared values, and a taste for more.LET'S GET HOPPING!

SEEKING BEAUTY SERIES

This Museum Hop series for women focuses around the age-old question: What is beauty? What does it look like and how does it feel? This series of museum visits and lunch conversations will explore the beauty we see and identify some of the beauty inside each of us. Register for one event or a series. Each visit includes museum admission, tour, facilitated discussion, lunch, and plenty of shopping time. Transportation is available.

ART FOR THE PEOPLE!

Rising grades 6-9

What's the deal with public art? Museum Hoppers will investigate this question by examining examples of public art and interviewing locals and art professionals from the Triangle area. If that were not enough, they will work together to create a work of public art for display in Durham.

Museum Hoppers collaborate in person with museum professionals from the Triangle and on video with others from museums across the country to solve real-world museum problems. A range of museum visits and behind-the-scenes tours included. A great story for the ol' college essay!
